Offspring is a punk-rock band that has been around since the early 1990s. Hailing from Orange County, California, the three founding members (Dexter Holland, Noodles and Greg K.) formed the band, which quickly rose to fame thanks to their melodic punk sound and catchy, witty lyrics. Offspring is known for producing albums containing plenty of singles, many of which went on to become hits and even topped the charts. These include “Come Out and Play” (1994), “Self Esteem” (1995) and “Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)” (1998). Not only have they brought punk to the mainstream masses, but they have remained one of the most successful and longest running punk bands in history. Throughout their career, Offspring has achieved great feats and won several awards, including a MTV Europe Music Award for Best Rock Band, four American Music Awards, and three Kerrang! Awards. They have also toured with some of the most iconic punk bands such as The Who and Social Distortion, and most recently released their ninth studio album, “Days Go By” (2012). Offspring is and always will be a legendary punk-rock band that deserves all the recognition and praise they get!
